Pricing for Services


Prices vary based on the nature of the writing assignment. The project rates include approximate time spent reading, researching, and communicating, in addition to the hours spent writing and rewriting. Non-profit organizations receive significant discounts. Please feel free to contact me about your specific needs and we can discuss your project in detail.

Hourly Price List

Proofreading:     $30 - $75 per hour
Copyediting:   $45 - $125 per hour
Copywriting:   $60 - $100 per hour
Ghostwriting:   $75 - $150 per hour

Press Release:     $125 - $750
Feature Article:   $400 - $1,500
Journal Article:   $400 - $2,500
Speech Writing:   $500 - $2,500
     
Letters & Resumes:   $20 - $250  per page
Web Page Writing   $30 - $75 per page
Grant Writing:   $40 - $100  per hour
Research:    $45 - $80   per hour
     
Speech Coaching:    $40 - $75 per hour
Presentation Critiquing:   $50 - $90 per hour
Communication Consulting:   $75 - $125 per hour

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Revisions of copy are free; changes in concept or nature of assignment are extra.
  • A written agreement is required for all projects.
  • One third (33%) of the estimated total fee is required in advance before work commences. One third (33%) is due upon submission of first draft. The remainder (including any extra fees) is due upon final completion and approval of work.
  • A "kill" fee of 50% of the original total project estimate will be honored until the first draft is approved.
  • There are no additional charges to the client.
